I am distracted. Rather, I have been distracted, for about the last ten years or so. Sixteen years if you count the day I first sat before a computer. Me and the silicon devices that help define my existance go way back...

I remember opening up my newly (and slowly) downloaded NCSA Mosaic "world wide web" browser, checking out websites I had found in a newspaper for the first time. I can remember being facinated by MTV's fancy imagemap of a street scene. Imagemaps were so neat because they allowed you to click around on an image of reality, like you were really there. Uh, yeah. You know, back in those days, you had no choice. You were thrilled with whatever you could find, because it was the web, and it was graphical, and most importantly it wasn't AOL.

Of course before all this there were my BBS days. A 300 baud modem quickly became 1200 baud, then 2400 baud, finally 14.4k and I was the king of the world. I had a fling with a 28.8k modem and finally the end all be all of analog modems, the 56k. Since then I have been through one DSL modem and am on my second Cable modem, whew!

Now we are in the age of dynamic sites, object oriented publishing environments and broadband into your home. Well I guess it took all of that to motivate me into finally making a personal site. Granted, I have made sites both for work and play, but this one is for me. Yes, definitely for me. However if you happen to get anything out of it, well, then more power to ya.
